Covid-19 Important Information

Dear 8Count Families

We have been continuously monitoring the updates regarding the COVID-19 virus.  Following the announcement made from Health Minister David Clark regarding the current climate and the public health risk of COVID-19, we now feel it is our responsibility to make the difficult but necessary decision to temporarily suspend classes at 8Count to do our part in slowing the spread of COVID-19 in the community.

8Count will be closed from Monday 23 March 2020 (this coming Monday).  Our normal classes today and tomorrow will continue at this stage unless there is any further updates which require us to reassess this decision.

We have made this decision in the best interest of our students and staff as well as the wider community.  We do hope that the studio will be closed for a short period of time, but in preparation our staff will be spending next week preparing to move to an exciting online live streaming class model with more details to follow next week.

Next week we will be sending out links to some fun activities, creative dance ideas, and a few combos and classes to partake in at home.   Please join us on Facebook and Instagram and regularly visit our website from next week to see what we have in store.

8Count Dance Studio remains committed to continuing to play a proactive role to support and encourage community health, especially for our kids and teachers.  We know that over this time with many sports and social activities cancelled, it is important to keep our youth active and healthy, physically and mentally.  We will be doing everything we can to help keep our kids active in the community.

8Count will strive to continue providing its teachers with normal pay during this time, in an effort to support our local community as well as the health and welfare of our staff.  These are vital times for our studio and staff, and your continued support will help us get through this temporary closure and be able to continue to serve our community in the future.

Please bear with us as we prepare all of the exciting things we have in store for next week and the last two weeks of term.  If you have any questions we ask that you wait for our next announcement allowing us to fulfil the needs of the students as quickly as we can.

Kind regards
